We’re building something that matters. Come and build it with us.

The Body Happy Organisation is a multi-disciplinary team united by one goal: helping every child and young person celebrate, respect and accept ALL bodies - especially their own.
We work across education, health and community settings, designing and delivering programmes that go beyond individual behaviour change to challenge the systems and cultures that shape how young people see themselves. Our work has reached parliament, been commissioned at scale by schools across England, and earned the backing of the National Lottery. We are ambitious, evidence-informed and growing.
We believe that changing culture requires more than one kind of knowledge - and more than one kind of person. Whether you join us as a paid member of the team or as a volunteer, you'll be part of work that is rigorous, collaborative and genuinely joyful.
Why work with us
We are a small, remote team spread across the UK. We don't have foosball tables or free lunches, but we do have:
Work that is directly connected to impact - you will see what your contribution makes possible
A genuinely collaborative culture built on trust, honesty and mutual respect
Flexibility that treats people as professionals who can manage their own time
A team that is deeply committed to walking the talk on inclusion, belonging and body respect - including for each other
The chance to contribute to a growing movement at a pivotal moment in its development
We take our values seriously (you can read about them here). We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds. We are particularly interested in hearing from people whose personal or professional experience gives them a critical understanding of the systems and cultures that harm young people's relationship with their bodies - and who are committed to our prevention, inclusion and anti-weight-stigma approach.
Current opportunities
We're growing our facilitator network and are looking for an experienced, values-aligned facilitator to join our team delivering our programmes to children, young people and adults in schools and community settings. This role requires genuine commitment and real availability - if it sounds like you, download the full job description below.
Skills based volunteering
We're always interested in hearing from people who want to offer specific professional skills - whether that's research, fundraising, communications, legal, finance or something else entirely.
If your skills could help us, we'd love to hear from you. Tell us exactly what you can offer, how much time you can realistically commit, and what kind of role would suit you — the more specific, the better.
In return, we can offer you the chance to contribute to work that genuinely matters, real opportunities for professional development, and a window into a growing organisation doing something important.
