Building classroom cultures of body respect

Free, evidence-informed resources and support to help children and young people celebrate, respect and accept ALL bodies – especially their own.

The Body Happy Digital Offer

We work with schools and local authorities to help children and young people celebrate, respect and accept ALL bodies – especially their own.

Our Universal Digital Offer gives primary and secondary schools access to a selection of our evidence-informed Body Happy resources designed to build classroom cultures of body respect, promote consistent and developmentally appropriate messages about bodies, food, movement and wellbeing, and support prevention, inclusion and early intervention across the school community.

Body respect is an education issue

How pupils feel about their bodies shapes confidence, participation, behaviour and inclusion in everyday school life.

The Universal Digital Offer supports schools to develop the Body Happy Skills – helping pupils build body image literacy, resilience to harmful messages, respect for themselves and others, and the confidence to challenge stigma when they see it.

What’s included…

We work in partnership with a range of local authorities and organisations, which your school may be eligible to access. Depending on the partnership, schools may be able to access one, some or all of the options below.

Become a research partner school

Would your school like to take part in a university research project – and receive a fully supported whole-school body image programme as part of it?

We’re inviting new partner schools to register an expression of interest to take part in a research partnership with the University of Lincoln, focused on whole-school approaches to body image and body respect.

Schools selected will take part in the study and receive the full Body Happy Schools Programme, delivered in person from September.

This is an opportunity to introduce a structured, practical, evidence-informed approach to body image and body respect across your school, with delivery, resources and evaluation included.
