We’re building Body Happy mobile libraries to support our work in schools and communities. These collections travel with our programmes, helping ensure that children and young people can access books that reflect diversity, encourage belonging, and support positive relationships with their bodies.
As our whole-school programmes develop, donated books also become part of the legacy we leave behind. Where possible, we gift titles to participating schools so they can continue building cultures of body respect long after delivery ends. This helps embed the work into classrooms, libraries, and pastoral spaces — extending impact beyond sessions and into everyday school life.
Through this appeal, you can donate directly from our curated Bookshop.org wishlist. Every book purchased strengthens the resources we bring into classrooms, workshops, and community settings — and helps us place meaningful books directly into schools.
How it works
Supporting the appeal is simple. You can donate books in whichever way works best for you.
Option 1 - Purchase via our Bookshop wishlist
Browse our curated Bookshop.org list and choose a title to donate. Complete your purchase through Bookshop.org, ensuring delivery is sent to our appeal address (below).
Option 2 - Purchase directly from us
Where titles are available through the Body Happy bookshop, you’re welcome to purchase directly from us and have them sent into the appeal collection. A selection of suitable titles is listed below, or you can head straight to the Body Happy Bookshop using the button.
Purchasing this way also supports the ongoing delivery of our work in schools and communities - so your contribution helps grow the library while sustaining the programmes that use it.

Every Body; Celebrate, respect and accept ALL bodies - especially your own
We all have a body. They don't always function the same as other people's. And they certainly don't all look the same. But one thing is certain - every body deserves respect. This is an essential guide to embracing and respecting all bodies, for readers aged 9+.
Sometimes social media can make us feel like we're not good enough if we don't have a 'perfect' body. But the truth is, everyone feels bad about their bodies sometimes – even celebrities with millions of followers.
Author and campaigner Molly Forbes is here to show you that you - and ONLY you - get to decide how you feel about your body. And if we want to change the conversation around body image, we need to advocate for every single body - including those that look or function differently from our own.
It's time to stop criticising the way we look, and celebrate all our glorious differences!
“Every Body will make the world safer, more inclusive and more compassionate for all bodies.”
- Laura Thomas PhD, author of Just Eat It and How to Just Eat It, registered nutritionist and creator of the Can I Have Another Snack newsletter

Molly Forbes is a writer, presenter, campaigner and a mum to two daughters. As the founder of social enterprise the Body Happy Organisation CIC, Molly runs workshops for teachers and youth leaders on the subject of body image, providing resources to help parents, teachers and carers to promote positive body image for children, as well as running many school sessions for children and young people aged 4-16. Molly regularly appears at events and in the media talking about children's body image and mental health. She has spoken on various media outlets including ITV's This Morning, BBC Breakfast, Sky Sunrise, Sky News, Radio 1 Newsbeat, Heart Breakfast and C4's Steph's Packed Lunch. Molly lives in Devon with her children and husband.
Mollie Cronin is a Canadian cartoonist, illustrator, and educator, from Halifax, Nova Scotia. This is her second time illustrating a book in the UK and she is perplexed and thrilled that folks across the pond are so keen to work with her. Often writing under the name Art Brat Comics, Mollie is best known for her fat positive illustrations and cheeky comics that poke holes in the logic of diet culture. She received a BA in Art History from NSCAD University before accidentally becoming a cartoonist in 2015. She is currently working on her master’s degree in Gender Studies and living in Kingston, Ontario, and is missing the ocean very much.
We are not born hating our bodies. Make sure your kids never do.
No parent wants their child to grow up with anything less than wholehearted confidence in themselves. Sadly research shows that children as young as five are saying they need to 'go on a diet' and over half of 11 to 16-year-olds regularly worry about the way they look. Campaigner and mum-of-two-girls Molly Forbes is here to help.
In Body Happy Kids, Molly draws on her own experience and a range of experts to provide parents with a much-needed antidote to the confusing health advice that bombards us every day. This reassuring and practical guide covers everything you need to help your child to care for their body with kindness, including how to approach good nutrition (without falling for diet culture), how to see the reality behind beauty ideals and how social media can be used to support body confidence rather than destroy it. With Molly's help, you can arm yourself with the insight and tools to raise resilient children who love the skin they're in.

A picture book celebrating body diversity.
My body, your body,
every different kind of body!
All of them are good bodies!
BODIES ARE COOL!
This heart-warming, inclusive book, filled with detailed and friendly illustration is a celebration of every kind of body that exists in the world. Through an empowering, rhythmic text that is perfect for reading aloud, little ones can explore various skin tones, body shapes, hair types, and more, in an accessible way that instils body positivity and confidence.
The picture book debut from talented author/illustrator Tyler Feder, whose inclusive artwork - full of warmth and humour - has earned her a large social media following through her brand, Roaring Softly.
Why this matters
Children and young people are growing up in environments shaped by comparison, appearance pressure, and narrow cultural messages about bodies.
Access to thoughtful, representative literature is a practical and powerful way schools can respond. Books create space for reflection, conversation, and connection - and they help normalise diversity and respect.
