For Corporates
Tackle inequality. Empower communities. Create lasting change.
At The Body Happy Organisation, we help children and young people celebrate, respect and accept ALL bodies – especially their own. We do this by embedding inclusive, preventative, transformative education across schools and wider communities, tackling body shame before harm happens.
But change doesn’t stop at the school gates.
We’re partnering with values-driven organisations to bring this work into the workplace and to fund our impact where it’s needed most.
Why is Body Image a Corporate Issue?
66% of 11–16 year-olds in England
feel negative about their bodies (Woman & Equalities Committee, 2021)
37% of girls avoid activities, and 26% avoid lessons
due to appearance anxiety (Girlguiding Girls’ Attitudes Survey, 2023)
Children as young as three
show anti-fat bias (PACEY, Facing the Facts: Body Image in the Early Years, 2016)
Poor body image isn’t just a personal issue - it’s a social justice issue. It shapes self-esteem, school engagement, and lifelong wellbeing. And it disproportionately affects those who already face structural inequalities.
When businesses take action on this issue, they help tackle stigma, empower families, and build healthier, more inclusive communities.

Aligned With Your ESG & CSR Goals
Our work supports four of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals and helps you meet your ESG and CSR commitments, especially under the “S” for Social Impact.
Goal 3: Good Health and Wellbeing
Tackle stigma, promote mental health, and support self-worth through early intervention.
After our Year 5–6 digital workshop, pupils’ use of positive emotional language to describe their feelings about bodies rose from 65.6% to 80.8%, with a clear drop in negative terms - signalling a meaningful shift in emotional wellbeing and self-perception.
Goal 4: Quality Education
Remove appearance-based barriers to learning and promote inclusive, engaging classrooms.
Teachers reported increased confidence in embedding body image into PSHE, with students showing greater engagement, oracy, and emotional expression - especially among those who were previously withdrawn or lacked confidence.
Goal 5: Gender Equality
Challenge stereotypes and empower all students - especially girls and marginalised genders - to lead.
Students challenged gender norms and led change:
Across all pilot schools, pupils of all genders took on leadership roles through peer advocacy, co-facilitated workshops, and creative campaigns - challenging stereotypes and promoting inclusion. One Year 10 pupil shared:
“I want others to understand this too - not forced, but to really get it.”
Goal 10: Reduced Inequalities
Confront weight stigma, racism, ableism and discrimination through body respect education.
Teachers observed that a wide range of learners, including SEND and neurodivergent pupils, took on leadership roles and expressed pride, empathy, and self-worth - contributing to a more inclusive school environment for all.
The Impact You Can Help Create

In one school, the % of pupils who said they were “learning about body image” rose from 48.9% to 86.1%
SEND and neurodivergent learners were among the most engaged, empathetic leaders
“We’ve made a difference - we’re helping others feel good about themselves” – Sophia, Year 10
