Every Body Wins Children’s Book of the Year (Wellbeing)
We’re delighted to share some exciting news: Every Body, written by our founder Molly Forbes and beautifully illustrated by Mollie Cronin, has been awarded the Wellbeing prize at The Week Junior Children’s Book Awards!
Molly after just winning the award!
This recognition is about so much more than a single book. Every Body was created to help children and young people understand that body image isn’t just about looks - it’s about respect, inclusion and wellbeing. The book features stories of real-life activists, artists and changemakers throughout, alongside insights from experts across a range of fields. We also piloted the book with young readers to make sure its ideas feel accessible, engaging and age-appropriate. Mollie Cronin’s joyful, inclusive illustrations bring these messages to life on every page.
At Body Happy Org, our mission is simple but urgent: to build cultures of body respect in schools, homes and communities. Wins like this highlight the growing appetite for resources that challenge body shame and empower children to celebrate, respect and accept ALL bodies - especially their own.
We’re grateful to everyone who has championed this work: educators, families, researchers and young people who continue to show why body respect matters. This award belongs to all of you, too.

If you’d like to bring Every Body into your school or community, you can find it wherever books are sold (including our own shop if you want a signed copy!) or explore our wider Body Happy Schools Programme to see how we’re putting these ideas into action every day.
Together, we’re rewriting the story around body image - for this generation and the next. Thank you for being part of this important work.
