Free Body Respect Education for Devon Schools
Exciting news for schools in Devon! Thanks to our partnership with the Devon Schools Wellbeing Partnership, every school within the Devon County Council area can now access fully funded body respect education from The Body Happy Organisation CIC.
WHAT’S INCLUDED:
Full schemes of work for KS3 and KS4
An interactive, animated digital workshop for Years 5–6 (presented by three of our expert facilitators)
Staff CPD training delivered online
All of our resources are inclusive, evidence-informed, and designed to help pupils celebrate, respect and accept all bodies – especially their own.
Through this collaboration, schools can make use of key strands of The Body Happy Schools Programme - the UK’s first whole-school body respect initiative. The programme has been shaped with support from the Fair Education Alliance and underpinned by our research partnership with the University of Lincoln.
For primary and secondary settings
This offer is open to all schools in the Devon County Council area (maintained and academies) until the end of 2025. It’s a unique opportunity to access high-quality, free body respect education to strengthen inclusion and wellbeing.
Secondary schools will receive complete schemes of work for Key Stage 3 and 4, with engaging lessons based on our four Body Happy Skills. Each scheme includes teaching guidance, additional resources, and an impact evaluation toolkit. Lessons are adaptable, scaffolded for SEND and EAL learners, and shaped through youth-led advocacy.
Primary schools can access interactive CPD for staff alongside our animated Body Happy Digital Workshop for Years 5 and 6. This flexible workshop is designed with breakout activities that empower pupils to explore advocacy and body respect in a creative, engaging way.
Body respect education for EYFS to KS4
The funded access runs until December 2025, with CPD sessions scheduled throughout the autumn term. Places are limited so that every setting can nominate at least one key staff member.
