CPD Workshop Terms & Conditions

Registration

By registering for a Body Happy Org CPD workshop, attendees agree to comply with all terms and conditions outlined herein.

Attendance

Attendees are expected to participate actively in all workshop sessions and activities, where possible. Attendees are expected to arrive for the workshop in a timely and punctual manner, and accept that late arrival may result in aspects of the learning being missed and certain activities not being completed.

Conduct

Attendees must conduct themselves in a respectful and professional manner at all times during the workshop. Disruptive behavior, harassment, discrimination, or any form of misconduct will not be tolerated and may result in immediate expulsion from the workshop without refund.

Confidentiality

All discussions and materials presented during the workshop are confidential and intended solely for educational purposes. Attendees agree not to disclose any personal or sensitive information shared by fellow participants or workshop facilitators.

Intellectual Property

All workshop materials, including presentations, handouts, and exercises, are protected by copyright laws. Attendees agree not to reproduce, distribute, or sell any workshop materials without prior written consent from the workshop organisers.

Liability

Attendees participate in the workshop at their own risk. The workshop organisers and facilitators shall not be held liable for any injuries, damages, or losses sustained by attendees during the workshop.

Implicit Bias

Attendees acknowledge that implicit biases may exist within themselves and others, including facilitators and fellow participants. Attendees agree to approach discussions and activities with an open mind, recognising and challenging their own biases as necessary.

Comfort with Discomfort

Attendees understand that discussions surrounding body image and related topics may evoke discomfort or challenge existing beliefs and attitudes. Attendees commit to engaging with these discomforting moments constructively, taking accountability for their own growth and understanding in these areas. Attendees accept that there may be elements of the workshop which don’t resonate with them personally, and that, to some extent, this is the nature of the subject matter.

Respectful Dialogue

Attendees agree to engage in respectful dialogue and active listening, even when faced with differing viewpoints or uncomfortable topics. Disagreement is welcome, but it must be expressed in a respectful and constructive manner.

Continuous Learning

Attendees commit to viewing discomfort as an opportunity for personal growth and learning. They acknowledge that challenging moments in the workshop may contribute to deeper understanding and empathy regarding body image issues amongst children and young people.

Adaptability

Attendees understand that workshop content and activities may be adapted based on the needs and dynamics of the group. They agree to remain flexible and open to changes that may enhance the overall learning experience.

Health and Safety

Attendees are responsible for their own health and well-being during the workshop. Any medical conditions, allergies, or special needs should be disclosed to the workshop organisers in advance to ensure appropriate accommodations can be made.

Photography and Recording

Photography, video recording, or audio recording of workshop sessions is strictly prohibited without prior authorisation from the workshop organisers and all participants involved.

Changes and Cancellations

The workshop organisers reserve the right to make changes to the workshop schedule, content, or venue if necessary. In the event of cancellation, attendees will be notified as soon as possible, and refunds will be issued according to the cancellation policy.

Agreement

By attending a CPD workshop by The Body Happy Organisation CIC, attendees acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to abide by these terms and conditions. Failure to comply with these terms may result in removal from the workshop without refund.
