24 Days of Body Respect
Give the gift of body respect this Christmas. Your support this December helps us bring body respect education to more schools in the year ahead.
Over half of children don’t like their bodies. Let’s do something about it this December.
Why now?
Christmas is often framed as a time of connection and joy, but for many children and families, it’s also a period when body image pressures increase.
Appearance-focused comments, food guilt disguised as “festive chat,” pressure to “look a certain way” in photos, and heightened social media comparison all contribute to an environment where harmful messages are harder to avoid.
Children notice and internalise these patterns. Over time, they become normalised and begin to shape how young people feel about their bodies and their place in the world.
This campaign invites people to take action by supporting the Body Happy Schools Programme. Donations made this Christmas will help us expand our work in the year ahead, particularly in high-Pupil Premium communities where the need is greatest.

1. Donate
Your donation helps us bring body respect education to schools where children are most affected by body image worries, appearance-based bullying, and weight stigma.
2. Fundraise
Under all the sparkle, Christmas can be a difficult time for children. Body talk, comments about changing bodies, guilt around eating, pressure to “fix ourselves” in January - these messages are everywhere, and they start with adults. By fundraising, you help us break this cycle.
3. Join our Advent Challenge
Every day of Advent, we’ll share a simple activity to help families shift conversations, practise self-kindness, and celebrate what our bodies can do.
You can join in two ways:
Take the challenge
Follow along each day on social media and take part with your family, class, or team.
Turn it into a sponsored challenge
Inspired by Body Happy Org supporters’ Coastal Swim Coaching’s Seas the Season challenge, you can fundraise by choosing daily activities across three themes:
Land: Everyday, accessible movement and grounding activities — things that help you feel connected, steady or energised in your body.
Sea: Anything that links to calm, flow or refreshment - inspired by Terri & Allie’s Coastal Swim Coaching challenge, but not limited to swimming or water-based activities!
Sky: Rest, reflection and perspective - simple moments that help you pause, breathe and reset.
Each day, choose one simple action that supports body respect - movement, rest, connection or reflection. You can take part on your own, with family or friends, or as a whole school.
4. Support us on Easyfundraising
Supporting us through Easyfundraising is a simple way to help fund our work in schools and ensure more children can access body-respect education. When you shop online, thousands of retailers donate on your behalf - and it doesn’t cost you anything.
Whether you’re buying essentials or Christmas gifts, those small contributions build up quickly. Signing up takes less than a minute, and every purchase you make helps us continue our mission throughout the year.
5. Shop our gifts & resources
Every purchase helps fund our work in schools and supports more children to develop positive relationships with their bodies. We have a range of meaningful gifts for families, teachers and supporters who want to champion body respect.
From our books Body Happy Kids and Every Body to Pocket Booster affirmation cards, posters, classroom resources and digital toolkits, everything you buy contributes directly to our mission.
Take part as a school
Schools can join the 24 Days of Body Respect by using the daily activities in assemblies, tutor time or classrooms. The downloadable poster makes it easy to get involved and helps spark body-respect conversations across your whole school community.
You can also run a school-wide Advent challenge or fundraising activity to support access for high–Pupil Premium schools in 2025. Whether it’s a movement challenge, a kindness initiative or a wellbeing focus, getting involved helps champion body respect for all children.
